DIY Fall Wreath
Autumn is such an amazing time, isnt it? There is something magical about the changing of seasons, and living this far north...it's our showtime. We are so lucky to live in the forest like we do. We are surrounded by huge maples, gorgeous birch trees, and a couple oaks for good measure. We were inspired by the trees for this weeks diy project. I encourage you to go out with the little ones, let them choose as many leaves as they please. This is a great opportunity to learn about colours, nature, and patterns. This project is appropriate for ages 12 months and up, with parents helping to varying degrees.

How adorable is this?
Supplies: Glue Gun Wax Paper Embroidery Hoop Gold Paint (We used Martha Stewart Acrylic) Leaves Step 1: After collecting your favourite leaves, place them between two pieces of wax paper, and iron them. After cooled, you can pull the paper apart and the leaves will be sealed in wax. This will ensure they stay bright and pretty!

Step 2: PAINT! Paint on some designs in gold onto each leaf. They can be as intricate or simple as you like.

Step 3:
Once dried, you can glue the leaves onto your embroidery hoop, add a ribbon and display

This is an incredible simple project with major wow-factor. Imagine a window display filled with hoops of varying sizes? Or used as a candle holder? Happy Crafting!
